“Concerned about our nation’s energy future, I am especially interested in the prospects of nuclear power and how to design and produce technology that makes this industry more safe and reliable.

 As an incoming freshman at the University of Wisconsin—Madison, I can’t wait to gain the skills and knowledge I need to become a contributing member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. With a degree in nuclear engineering, I plan to produce cutting-edge equipment for much needed, reliable energy alternatives. I am excited to seek opportunities in this challenging and dynamic field, and the SME Education foundation is helping to make this possible.”
